Expert Crack & Patch Repair in Toronto & the GTA

Cracks, holes, and dents in your drywall are more than just eyesores; they can worsen over time if left unaddressed. Whether it is a hairline crack from natural building settlement, a hole left behind by a doorknob, or water damage from a leak, Infinity Landscaping has the expertise to restore your walls and ceilings to a clean, paint-ready condition. Our repair specialists work throughout the Greater Toronto Area, handling everything from single-room touch-ups to whole-home restoration projects.

Every repair starts with a proper diagnosis. We identify the root cause of the damage so we can apply the right fix, not just a temporary cover-up. For cracks, that means using flexible compounds and mesh tape to prevent recurrence. For larger holes, we cut clean openings, install backing boards or new drywall sections, and build up multiple coats of compound for a seamless result. Water-damaged areas are dried and treated with mould-resistant materials before any finishing work begins.

Once repairs are complete, we sand, prime, and prepare the surface so it blends invisibly with the surrounding wall. The end result is a surface that looks as though the damage never happened. Every project comes with a free assessment and a transparent, no-obligation quote.

Crack & Patch Repair FAQs

What causes cracks in drywall?
Drywall cracks are most commonly caused by natural settling of the building structure, seasonal temperature and humidity changes that cause materials to expand and contract, and improper original installation such as insufficient taping or too-thin compound. Cracks around doors and windows are especially common because these areas experience the most structural movement. In older homes, foundation shifts can also contribute to recurring cracks.
How long do drywall repairs take?
Small repairs like nail pops and hairline cracks can be completed in a single visit, though the compound needs 24 hours to dry before sanding and painting. Larger patches and water damage repairs typically take two to three visits over several days, as each coat of compound must cure fully before the next is applied. We always provide a clear timeline during the initial assessment so you know what to expect.
Can I paint over a repaired area right away?
Not immediately. After the final sanding, the repaired area should be primed with a quality drywall primer before painting. Priming seals the compound and ensures the paint adheres evenly and matches the surrounding wall. Without primer, the repaired spot often shows through as a dull or textured patch, even with multiple coats of paint. We can apply primer as part of the finishing step if requested.
